Watch Strap Size

In order to find the correct strap or band for your watch, you will need to know various lengths and sizes. To save you time and effort to establish the correct size fitting for the lug and length size for your watch strap, we have provided some illustrations as a guideline to help you. The most reliable way to find your straps’ correct measurement is to measure the length of your existing strap/watch combination, on any good watch strap the size of the lug measurement should be on the back of the existing watch strap.

Please make sure that you take the length of your watch into account when estimating the length of the strap you need.

How to Measure Your Watch

To choose the correct size watch strap for your watch, you just need to know the watch’s Lug Width. The surest way to know the lug width is to measure it with a metric ruler in millimeters.

Buckle Sizing

Matching the color and finish of a custom buckle to your watch, makes the strap feel seamless and integrated with the watch design. Sizing your buckle to an Archer watch strap is simple. Because our straps all feature a straight design (not tapered) the buckle size is always the same size as the strap size.

If you need a new buckle for your own tapered strap you will want to measure the width of the buckle end of your strap. A metric ruler is the easiest tool to measure the buckle end, but you can also use our Printable Measuring Guide.

Buckle Installation

All our buckles come with an installation hole on the side so you can access the spring bar with household objects like a paper clip. However, if you want to remove another buckle, the best tool for the job is an Archer Spring Bar Tool.

Wrist Fitting

Our straps fit the vast majority of wrists. If you’re unsure if our straps will fit a very large or very small wrist, check out the measurements on any of our product pages. Remember to consider the size of your watch because that will affect the circumference of the installed strap.
